Il était une fois en 2002: L'histoire de Cendrillon transposée dans le monde moderne et racontée sur un ton tantôt émouvant, tantôt sarcastique.
Cindy, une adolescente rebelle vit dans un pavillon de banlieue avec sa belle-mère et ses deux demi-soeurs qui la traitent comme une servante. Le soir, elle s'enfuit retrouver Malcom, son copain d'une cité avoisinante.
Elle est le fruit d'une aventure de voyage entre un pilote d'avion irlandais, Ronan, et Candela une fille du soleil, qui a préféré abandonner son enfant pour pouvoir refaire sa vie dans son île. Pour donner un foyer à sa fille, le père de Cindy s'est mariée à une femme divorcée ex Disco-Queen sous le nom de La Palma.
Le Prince Charmant se présentera sous les traits de Ricky, le rocker le plus adulé du moment, fiancé par la presse à une top-model névrosée Judy. Un soir, Ricky donne un concert dans la boîte de nuit la plus 'in' de la ville. Cindy et Ricky tombent follement amoureux, mais le chemin est long et parsemé d'embûches ...

La seule chanson que je retiens de cette comédie musicale c'est Salaud et c'est même pas la version de la comédie musicale mais celle de marie-mai que j'ai énormément écouté
