The Americans

Phillip et Elizabeth Jennings, deux espions du KGB dont le mariage a été arrangé, s'installent avec leurs deux enfants dans la banlieue de Washington au début des années 80, juste après l'élection de Ronald Reagan à la Présidence. Se sentant une certaine affinité pour le mode de vie américain, le couple voit ses convictions mises à rude épreuve. Assumer une double identité va devenir de plus en plus difficile pour eux, d'autant qu'en cette période de Guerre Froide, le moindre faux pas peut leur coûter la vie...

J'ai fini la série hier et je crois que plus encore que le couple mon perso préféré c'est Stan , il m'a tellement fait mal au coeur dans le parking face à Philip
Sinon c'est une bonne fin de série , je pense qu'un saut de la temps de pas longtemps avec ce que sont devenurs paige et henry aurait pu être inséré c'est un peu dommage , j'aurais voulu savoir

Awww ouiii j'ai regardé la vidéo de Matthew et Keri quand j'étais milieu saison 1 car je voulais pas me spoiler mais en même temps j'avais besoin de contenu ^^ et je me souvenais que tu avais dis, à l'époque ou tu avais posté une vidéo Philip/Elizabeth qu'ils étaient en couple IRL et damnnn qu'ils sont adorable. Matthew est tellement drôle, je connaissait pas son côté "drôle" l'ayant vu seulement dans The Americans à ce moment là mais leur côté plus drôle/dorky entre eux man ça les rends encore plus cute The Americans 997285

J'ai regardé quelques panels aussi dernièrement dont celui de ATX 2018, je sais plus si c'est dans lui ou un autre mais j'ai ri quand ils parlent du final et Matthew dit qu'il veux que ca finisse avec lui qui se pitch devant Elizabeth pendant que Stan tire et que pendant qu'Elizabeth le serre dans ses bras il lui dit "I never loved Martha" The Americans 468247

The Americans

The Americans' Cold War-era tale begins when the arranged marriage between undercover Russian spies Elizabeth (Keri Russell, with her second appearance on this list) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) moves beyond emotional distance and duty. "It would have been a bit more obvious to start at a point of fracture," showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg tell EW in a statement. "It felt emotionally unusual and powerful to start the story at a point when they made a positive breakthrough in their relationship." The duo — who are currently working on The Patient together — are particularly proud of a review they got from a surprising source. "One of the great compliments we got was from one of the former illegals arrested in 2010, who said in a Russian press interview that although some of the plot stuff in the show was crazy, that he never murdered anybody, that the show was true to the emotional dynamics in his family," they recalled. "We loved this, because it was exactly what we were trying to do. We wanted Philip and Elizabeth to be wholly relatable, not just in the world of work, and politics, but more than anything in their personal lives." —C.A.
